Claude Kinyon, long resident, dies at age 84

A former employe of Redlands school district for 25 year, Claude A. Kinyon, died here Wednesday at the age of 84.

Mr. Kinyon, who lived at 10815 Nevada street, had lived in Redlands for 48 years. He was a native of Oregon.

In recognition of his work for schools, Mr. Kinyon was presented an honorary life membership by Mentone PTA. He was an active member of local Odd Fellows lodge, the Sapphire Rebekah lodge, the Royal Neighbors of America and was a past president of Redlands Senior Citizens club.

He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Vinetta Von Tungeln and Mrs. Stuart (Luella) Lindenberger, both of Redlands; a sister, Mrs. Oral Lee of Sunnyvale, and three grandchildren, Allen Von Tungeln and Stuart Lindenberger of Redlands and Sheldon Lindenberger of Long Beach.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 tomorrow morning at the F. Arthur Cortner chapel with Ted E. Hurlburt, minister of the Westside Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Memorial Park.
