At 4 o'clock this afternoon Miss Vinetta Irene Kinyon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude A. Kinyon of Eleventh street, became the New Year's bride of George Harold Von Tungeln of this city. The marriage was solemnized in the main hall of the I. O. O. F. lodge rooms, the Rev. N. Zilich, pastor of the State Street Christian church, officiating with the single ring service. About 150 relatives and guests witnessed the ceremony.
The hall was decorated with masses of fern, palm fronds and other greenery, combined with cut flowers of several varieties. The altar was improvised beneath an arch of green.
Preceding the ceremony, Miss Catherine Mead sang "Beloved" and "I Love You Truly," accompanied by Miss Mercedes Farr, who also played "Lohengrin's Bridal Chorus" for the entry of the wedding party.
The bride entered on the arm of her father, who gave her in marriage. She wore a beautiful gown of white taffeta, fashioned with basque and bouffant skirt, the hem scalloped across the front and almost trailing the floor in the back. Her long tulle veil was caught into a cap with a wreath of tiny satin rosebuds and he shower bouquet was of cream roses and white sweet peas.
Miss Luella Kinyon, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore rose-colored taffeta combined with blue, and carried pink sweet peas and fern. the other attendants were the Misses Linna Altman, Helen Jones, Evelyn Duvall, Mrs. Rose Farr (Madeline Mead) and Miss Florence Hill of Yakima, Wash., cousin of the bride. All wore pastel-colored frocks and corsages. They also woe the gifts of the bride, strings of pearl beads.
George Harlow served Mr. Von Tungeln as best man.
Following the ceremony there was a reception at the hall, two large bridal cakes being served. Mrs. Hortense Hawkes assisted Mrs. Kinyon.
The young couple left later for a trip to San Diego and will be gone a week, after which they will be at home on San Mateo street. The bride traveled in a black taffeta frock, fur trimmed black coat, close-fitting hat and black shoes worn with gunmetal hose.
The bride, who is a member of the 1929 graduating class of the Redlands high school and plans to finish her course, has lived in Redlands since she was a small girl. She chose this day for her wedding because it is the wedding anniversary of her parents. Members of both families are members and officers of the Royal Neighbors, and for that reason chose the lodge rooms for the ceremony, in order that their many friends might attend.
Mr. Von Tungeln, who is a native of Oklahoma, has been in Redlands two years and is an employe of the Sanitary Plumbing Company.
Among the out-of-town guests who were present for the wedding and reception were Mr. and Mrs. William Smoot, Mrs. John Smoot, Albert Smoot, of Long Beach; Mrs. William Mittendorf and Ralph Mittendorf of Los Angeles; Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Burt and two sons and Mr. and Mrs. Colling of Ontario; Mrs. Henry Carls and son of Colton.

A reception Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Von Tungeln, 205 East State street, observed the 25th wedding anniversary of the host and hostess.
Seventy-five guests were greeted between 2 and 5 o'clock and the house was decorated with stocks and chrysanthemums. A three-tiered wedding cake was topped with white bells and served by Miss Glenda Beatty and Mrs. Stuart Lindenberger. Pouring for the first hour were Mrs. William Cambridge of Venice and Mrs. Glen Beatty of San Bernardino; for the second hours, Mrs. Edwin Lindenberger of Redlands and Mrs. O. Lindenberger of Long Beach and for the third hour, Miss Elizabeth Hidden of Redlands and Mrs. Florance Barnes of Yucaipa. Mrs. Allen Hills of Mentone took charge of the guest book.
Mr. and Mrs. Von Tungeln were married in Redlands January 1, 1929. They have one son, Allen, 11 years old, and a student at Kingsbury school. Mr. Von Tungeln operates the Sanitary Plumbing company and is a member of the Redlands Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Von Tungeln is a member of the Business and Professional Women's club and the Soroptimist club.

George H. Von Tungeln, former owner of the Sanitary Plumbing Company, died here yesterday at the age of 68.
Mr. Von Tungeln, who was in business from 1926 to 1956 at 205 East State street, was born in Oklahoma. He lived in Redlands for the last 40 years, his home being at 10815 Nevada street. An active member of the Westside Church of Christ, he served the church as a deacon.
Mr. Von Tungeln leaves his wife, Vinetta; one son, Allen Von Tungeln of Redlands; and two brothers, Henry G. Von Tungeln and Fred Von Tungeln, both of Oklahoma.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at the Westside Church of Christ with Don Woodstock, minister officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Memorial Park. F. Arthur Cortner chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.
