Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Blackburn were hosts Monday evening at their country home with a 6 o'clock dinner complimentary to Miss Dorothy Dyer and Mr. Dan Kiser, whose marriage will take place Thursday, September 9.
The elegant four course dinner was very choice in menu and carefully served.
Pink and white were the colors used in decorating and in the luncheon. Pink and white carnations were the flowers used in the dining room and baskets of pink gladioli in the living room.
In addition to the honor guests were Miss Evelyn Dyer, Mr. Paul Michener, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Dyer, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Sailor, Miss Marjorie Sailor, Miss Genevieve Dyer, Mr. William Gauldin, Miss Grace Carter.

Robert Daniel Kiser, 62, of route 3, Marshall, passed away this morning at Fitzgibbon hospital. He had been in failing health the last two years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning in the Union Baptist church by the Rev. Don McNeal, pastor, and the Rev. William Bensberg, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will assist. Burial will be in Union cemetery.
The family will received friends from 7 to 9 o'clock Tuesday night in the chapel of the Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.
Mr. Kiser was born December 2, 1901, in Saline county, a son of the late Giles Henry and Patsy Ann Maupin Kiser. He was married September 9, 1926, at the E. B. Dyer residence northwest of Marshall to Dorothy Dyer, who survives.
He was a member of the Union Baptist church and was a farmer in the Union community, where he lived all of his life.
Surviving, besides his widow, are two sons, Robert Daniel Kiser, Jr., of Marshall and James Dyer Kiser of Malta Bend; seven grandchildren; two sister, Mrs. Alva Gauldin, Sr., of Malta Bend and Miss Lillian Kiser of Marshall, and an aunt, Miss Arzelia Kiser of Marshall.
A sister, Mrs. Floyd Spiers, and a brother, William L. Kiser, preceded him in death.
Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
