LeCLAIR MARTIN ATTENDING PARLEY AT PHILADELPHIA, PA.

Cedar Falls-LeClair Martin, 1103 Tremont street, is attending the meeting of the General Board of Missions of the Methodist church in Philadelphia, Pa.

He will visit his son, Edward K. Martin, Detroit, Mich., on his return trip.

The conference will continue thruout this week and he will spend a week visiting with his son.

Edward K. Martin

Memorial services for Edward K. Martin, 85, of 1147 Lantern Square, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Cedar Falls.

Mr. Martin died Sunday (Feb. 28) at Covenant Mdical Center-Kimball Avenue of natural causes.

He was born Oct. 9, 1902 in Cedar Falls, son of LeClair and Mary Kinne Martin. He and Lucia Lee Kilpatrick were married in 1925; she died in June 1958. He married Rebecca Von Tick in July 1959 in Pleasant Ridge, Mich.; she died in June 1983.

He was a traffic manager for the Willys Jeep Corp. in Toledo, Ohio, retiring in 1965.

Survivors include a son, William of Honolulu; three granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Grace Hetzler of West Liberty, Helen Newman of Cedar Falls and Esther Andrews of Pacific Palasades, Calif.; he was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanne.

There will be no visitation.
