Harry N. Stanley

Harry N. Stanley, 76, of 905 Wilson Ave., died Monday at 4:15 p.m. at his home. He had been ill for several years.

Born Nov. 14, 1885, in Bradford, Pa., he was the son of Frank and Mary Agnes Stanley. Both his parents were from Pennsylvania.

On Nov. 17, 1917, in Akron, he married Gladys K. McCollister, who survives.

A Marion resident since 1955, he attended Forest Lawn Presbyterian Church. He was a retired tree surgeon for the state of New York.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Leah Alice Kipe at home and Mrs. Irene L. Girodet of Cambridge, Mass; a brother, Frank Stanley of Akron, and a grandson.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Schaffner-Denzer Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Cross will officiate. Burial will be in the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 tonight.

Mrs. Harry N. Stanley

Mrs. Gladys K. Stanley, 71, of 905 Wilson Ave. died at 2 a.m. Sunday in General Hospital after a 3 1/2-year illness. Her husband, Harry N., died Feb. 19, 1962.

Born Aug. 26, 1895 in Bradford, Pa., she was a daughter of Mark and Alice McBrice McCollister. Residing here 12 years, she came to Marion from Florida.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Leah Alice Kipe of the Wilson Ave. address and Mrs. Irene L. Girodet of Allston, Mass.; a grandson; a sister, Mrs. Stewart Evans of Jim Thorpe, Pa., and a brother, W. H. McCollister of Venice, Fla.

Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Denzer Funeral Home. Rev. James N. Urquhart will officiate. Burial will be in Marion Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
