Neal McCrillis Weds Juanita Hall Sunday

At a quiet service performed Sunday, October 16, at 1:30 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Claud Hall, their only daughter, Juanita, was united in marriage to Neal L. McCrillis. Dr. John Hall of the Methodist church read the service, with only the immediate families of the couple in attendance.

The bride, who was unattended, wore a costume suit of tan wool, with brown accessories.

A dinner served by Mrs. Hall followed the ceremony and the couple left during the afternoon for a ten day trip which will take them ot Chicago, Detroit and points in Canada.

The groom is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McCrillis and graduated from the city schools in 1930. He was associated for a time with G. V. Tyler in the publication of the Spalding Enterprise, later running a transport truck service at Spalding. At present he is credit manager for the Ainsworth hospital. He is an industrious, diligent worker and an applicable young man.

Former Cab Owner, Policeman Succumbs

Neil L. McCrillis, realtor and former owner of the Yellow Cab Co. here, died at his home, 169 E. Pasadena St., Thursday night at 10:50 after several months of illness.

A resident of Pomona for the last 20 years, he was a desk sergeant with Pomona Police Department for five years, owner of Pomona Transportation Service and Yellow Cab Co. from 1949 until 1958, and for the last two years has been an associate realtor.

He was born July 17, 1911, in Haigler, Neb. In 1944 he came to California from Ainsworth, Neb., and since then has lived in Pomona. He was a member of Pilgrim Congregational Church and of Compass Lodge 590, F&A.M.

Besides his widow, Mrs. Juanita McCrillis, he is survived by a son, Leon Neal McCrillis of Pomona, and his mother, Mrs. Ora M. McCrillis of Pomona.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 in Todd Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Raymond A. Waser, pastor of Pilgrim Congregational Church, will officiate and the Masonic ritual will be conducted by Compass Lodge 590. Interment will be in Pomona Cemetery.
