CATHERINE GALLAGHER BECOMES THE BRIDE OF MR. R.W.M'LARNEY

Ceremony is performed at St. Patrick's church

WILL RESIDE HERE

Following church service, breakfast was served at Randolph Cottage

St. Patrick's church in this village, was the scene Tuesday morning of the wedding of Miss Catherine Mary Gallagher, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Gallagher, and Robert Ward McLarney, son of Owen S. McLarney and the late Mrs. Fern McLarney, both of Randolph. Nuptial mass was celebrated at 8 o'clock by Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Dunn. Miss Gertrude Hayes as organist played the Lohengrin Wedding March as the bridal party entered, and "The Sunshine of Your Smile" was played during the offertory. "I Love You Truly" was used for the recessional.

The bride wore a white mousseline-de-soie gown, fashioned with a shorter train, the bridal veil was halo style and was caught with a band of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. Her sandals were of white satin. Mrs. Alvin Macklem, as matron of honor, wore yellow mousseline-de-soie, and her bouquet was of blue and white flowers. Her accessories were yellow. Little Bonnie Thomas, niece of the groom, as flower girl, was attired in orchid silk and wore a yellow hat. She carried a basket of mixed garden flowers.

The best man was Alvin Macklem, and the ushers were Patrick Laughlin and Francis Dunn.

The church was beautifully decorated with garden flowers, blue and white being used on the altar, while yellow flowers were tastefully arranged at the sides of the church. The lighting effect received from candles in the foreground made a most attractive setting, all of which added solemn dignity to the impressive ceremony.

A wedding breakfast followed and was served in the Sheldon room at Randolph Cottage. Covers were laid for 27, eight of whom were seated at the bride's table which was decorated in pink, white and silver. Rose petals were drifted on the table and the bride's cake, as enter piece, was decorated with roses. Favors were miniature boxes, filled with wedding cake and tied with silver ribbon.

Mr. and Mrs. McLarney left immediately for an automobile trip into Canada and upon their return will be at home at 155 Main street.

Mrs. McLarney is a graduate of Randolph High School, class of '27, and of Allegany College, class '31. She is a member of Theta Upsilon Sorority. The past three years Mrs. McLarney has been instructor of English and Latin in Randolph Central School. Mr. McLarney was graduated from Randolph High School, class '29, and from Tri-State College, class '31. At present he has a position with the Holtink Funeral Company in Randolph.

Pre-nuptial affairs in honor of the bride were given by Mrs. Alvin Macklem, Miss Gertrude Hayes, and Mrs. Paul Bentley.

Among those who attended the wedding from out of town were Mrs. T. W. Harris, Miss Catherine Gallagher of Buffalo; Mrs. Flora Kerr, Gowanda; Mrs. Dorothy Long, Tonawanda; Mrs. Milo Curtis, Scranton, Pa.; and Mr. and Mrs. John H. Chase, Binghamton.
