The marriage of Miss Agnes Butler, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Butler, of Point Pleasant, W. Va., formerly of this city, to Lieutenant Lester T. Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert T. Miller, pf Vineland, N. J., also formerly of this city, was solemnized at noon on Tuesday in Christ Episcopal Church in Point Pleasant, W. Va. The bride was attended by Miss Mary Buckley, of this city, as maid of honor, and little Miss Attarah Blackwood as flower girl. The groom's best man was Mr. Clarence D. Freshour, of Kingston, Ohio. Lieutenant and Mrs. Miller left on Tuesday afternoon for Vineland, N. J., to visit relatives, and will be home after March 15 in Louisville, Ky. Lieutenant Miller is stationed with the Forty-sixth Infantry at Camp Taylor.

Mrs. Miller's Services Today

Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Butler Miller, 52, wife of Maj. Gen. Lester T. Miller, deputy commanding general of Air Technical Service Command, will be held at 2 p. m. today in the Patterson Field chapel.

Burial will be in Marietta. Mrs. Miller died Friday at the Miller residence at Wright Field, having been a semi-invalid for the last several years.

General and Mrs. Miller were married in 1919 in Marietta college, following their joint graduation from Marietta college in 1916.

A native of Marshall, Va., Mrs. Miller is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ormond Butler.

Surviving are a son, Capt. Thomas L. Miller, stationed with the Army air forces on Okinawa; one daughter, Mrs. Agnes Green of Wright Field; two granddaughters, Robin and Lynn Miller of Redlands, Calif.; sister, Mrs. E. J. Collins, Wyndham, O., and one brother, Maj. Gen. William O. Butler of Montgomery, Ala.

She has been with her husband at the field since he was first assigned there in 1939.

Military Burial To Honor Former Air Force General

Maj. Gen. Lester T. Miller (USAF ret.), 74, a holder of the Distinguished Service Medal, died yesterday in his home, 5910 Calle del Paisano.

Gen. Miller, a native of Marietta, Ohio, moved to Phoenix from Dayton, Ohio, in 1857 He was a graduate of Marietta College and member of the Masonic Lodge, First Baptist Church of Scottsdale and Arizona Country Club.

Gen. Miller entered the military service in 1917 and served continuously until 1946. He received the medal for distinguished service as senior officer in charge of supply operations for the Field Services and Supply Division, Air Technical Service Command.

Gen. Miller was the first director of civil defense in Montgomery County, Ohio. He served as sponsor of Happy Farms Children's Home in Sonora, Mexico, and was a former member of the board of directors for the Arizona Boys Ranch and the Valley Christian Center of Phoenix.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Scottsdale, 7025 Osborn Road.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden, Scottsdale.

Burial, with full military honors by Williams AFB personnel, will be at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Scottsdale.

Survivors include his wife, Helen; on son, Thomas of Fullerton, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Edwin Purvis of Springfield, Mass.; one sister out of state, and nine grandchildren.
