Marietta, June 16.—Ormund Butler, sixty, commander of the United States government marine plant at Marietta, in charge of supplies for lock and dam work on the Ohio and its tributaries between Wellsburg and Point Pleasant, West Virginia, died suddenly at his home here early today.
he had been on duty almost to the hour of his death. An employe of the war department, department of engineers for the past twenty-eight years, he had been engaged in work on the Ohio and its tributaries for twenty years. He built and equipped the new marine plat at the mouth of the Muskingum river here three years ago.
