Robert H. Moore, 77, Sunbury
SUNBURY — Robert H. Moore, 77, of 926 Augusta St., died Sunday morning in Sunbury Community Hospital, where he was admitted approximately one month ago.
Born in Sunbury Jan. 14, 1909, he was a son of the late J. Howard and Bessie (Dagnell) Moore.
He was married to the former Elsie M. Miller for 57 years.
Mr. Moore was a veteran of World War II. He was a life member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Club and Goodwill Hose Company, all of Sunbury, Shamokin Dam Fire Company, Hummels Wharf Fire Company and Dauntless Hook and Ladder Company, Selinsgrove.
He was a member of Sunbury Eagles, American Legion, Sunbury, Northumberland VFW and Sunbury Social Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, William H. of Sunbury; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother; and a sister.
A private funeral will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Zweier Funeral Home, Sunbury.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sun Home Health Services, Northumberland, or the donor's favorite charity.
