Mr. Howard Moore and Miss Bessie E. Dagnell, both of this place, were married at the St John's Methodist church parsonage, on Wednesday evening, by the pastor, Rev. G. M. Glenn. Both bride and groom have many friends who extend best wishes and congratulations.

J. Howard Moore, of 448 North Fifth street, died at 2:45 a. m. Sunday in Community Hospital where he had been a patient since February 20. He had been in failing health since November when he retired as an employe of B. O. Daubert, plumbing and heating concern. He was 67 year of age and had lived most of his life in Sunbury. He was employed for many years at the former Sunbury Converting Works until it went out of business in the early 1930's.
Mr. Moore was born in Freeburg, March 13, 1884 the son of Jacob and Lydia Holsapple Moore. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of the World and the Goodwill Hose Company.
Surviving are his wife, the former Bessie Dagnell, two sons, Richard and Robert H., and one daughter, Mildred, wife of Webster, Clark, all of Sunbury; two sisters, Mrs. George Batdorf, Milton R. D.; Mrs. Virgia Steffen, and a brother, William F. Moore, both of Northumberland. Also surviving are four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday at the Wirt funeral home, Cliftmont. Rev. Michael Sheldon, pastor of First Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening.

SHAMOKIN DAM — Mrs. Bessie E. Mackert, 92, of 15 N. Old Trail died at 11:15 p.m. Friday in the Sunbury Community Hospital, where she had been admitted earlier in the evening.
Mrs. Mackert was employed by the former Bobb Shirt Factory, Sunbury, and was last employed at the Vineland State School, Vineland, N.J.
Born in Cumberland County, Feb. 21, 1885, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Susan Sambaugh Dagnell. Her first husband, Harold Moore, died in 1952. She later married Martin Mackert, who died in 1959.
Surviving are three children, Robert Moore of Sunbury, Mrs. Mildred Clark of Shamokin Dam and Richard Moore of Hummels Wharf, four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; and the following half brothers and sisters, Randall and Russell Dagnell, both of Carlisle, Miss Esther Dagnell of Spring City, Miss Ida A. Dagnell of Millerstown RD1, Mrs. Margaret Doughty of Sunnymead, Calif., Mrs. Florence Brightbill and Mrs. Isabell Brightbill, both of Grandville.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, Sunbury, by Mr. Arland Bingaman, an elder in the Jehovah's Witness Congregation, Northumberland.
Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening.
