SHELTON — Neil N. Vance, Lilliwaup, died Monday in a Shelton hospital at the age of 79. He was born March 10, 1890, in Tennessee. He was a retired carpenter. Mr. Vance was a member of the Methodist Church, the Carpenters' Union, Local 470, Tacoma, and the Good Fellowship Club. He had lived in the Shelton area for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Daisy, at home; two stepsons: Arthur and John Burg, both Tacoma; two stepdaughters: Mrs. Phyllis Shearer, seattle, and Mrs. Marion Johnston, Lilliwaup; a brother, Cecil Rose, Shasta, California; two sisters: Mrs. Lois Buell, Crescent City, California, and Mrs. Irene Buell, Auburn, California. The funeral service will be held in the Batstone Chapel this Friday afternoon, starting at one o'clock. The Reverend Glen Wakefield will officiate. Burial will follow in Shelton Memorial Park.

SHELTON (Special) — Daisy Vance, Lilliwaup, died Thursday in a Shelton hospital at the age of 87 years. She was born on June 27,1885 in Minnesota. Survivors include two sons: John C. Berg, Tacoma, and Art Berg, Shelton; two daughters, Mrs. Marion Johnstone, Lilliwaup, Mrs. Phyllis Shearer, Seattle; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; also a sister, Mrs. Leona Shade, Long Beach, California. The funeral service will be held in the Batstone Chapel this Monday, starting at 1 p.m. Pastor Howard Spear will officiate. Burial will take place in Shelton Memorial Park.
