A large number of relatives and friends called yesterday afternoon and evening at the home of Dr. and Mrs. A. B. Price, the occasion being the fiftieth wedding anniversary of Dr. Price' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melville C. Price of the National road, west. The rooms in which the guests were entertained were decorated with clusters of yellow and white chrysanthemums. Refreshments were served, the hostess being assisted by Mrs. R. W. Phillips and Mrs. S. G. Souder.

Melville C. Price, aged 77 years, a resident of Richmond since 1874, died at 8:10 o'clock last night at this home, National road, west. He had been in failing health for the past six months and returned with Mrs. Price, from St. Petersburg, Fla., about seven weeks ago.
Mr. Price wa born in Sept., 1845 at Brookville, Ind., the son of David and Elizabeth Langdon Price. For a number of years he was editor and proprietor of the Brookville American and later was paymaster on the Whitewater Valley railroad from Cincinnati to Hagerstown.
He came to Richmond in 1874 with Curme, Dunn and Company, leather manufacturers who had been located at Brookville. He remained with the company for four years and then opened a hardware store at 816 Main street, operating the business until 1902 when he sold the soter to James F. Hornaday. He had been a member of Grace Methodist Episcopal church since coming here. He also was a member of Sol Meredith post, G. A. R., and Webb lodge, No. 24, F. and A. M.
For the past several years Mr. and Mrs. Price had spent the winters in St. Petersburg, Fla. They were married Dec. 4, 1868 and celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in 1918.
Besides his wido he is survived by three sons, Dr. Alfred Price and Robert H. Price, of this city and George W. Price, who is connected with the Big Four railroad at Indianapolis, and one granddaughter, Miss Betty Price, of this city.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Mrs. Fannie C. Price, 78 years old, the widow of the late Melville C. Price, who died two years ago, died at her home, 1119 North A street, Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock. She was born on Dec. 4, 1846, at Connersville. She was a member of Grace M. E. church. Survivors are three sons, Robert H. Price, Dr. Alfred B. Price, both of Richmond, and George W. Price of Indianapolis; and one granddaughter, Miss Elizabeth Price of Richmond. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
