Mr. David Purinton and Miss Josephine Bliss were married at noon Friday at the Christian church parsonage, Rev. Stephen J. Epler performing the ceremony in the presence of the immediate relatives. They left on 43 for a brief visit with friends at Edgemont. Mr. Purinton is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Purinton, of north of town and is a graduate of the Alliance city schools. His bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Bliss and during her residence here for the past year has made a host of friends. They will be at home to their friends in Alliance after November 1st.

D. B. Purinton Dies In Oklahoma

Funeral services will be held at the Landa Funeral Home Monday for David B. Purinton, 51, former Alliance resident, who was killed in an airplan accident Tuesday, at Frederick, Okla.

Mr. Purinton had lived in Alliance from 1911 to 1923. He was a graduate of the Alliance high school class of 1917.

He had lived in Texas for the past 30 years and was an aviator by profession.

He is survived by: his mother, Mrs. Clara L. Purinton, Alliance; three brothers, Earl of Lincoln, Ernest W. Purinton of Alliance, and Herbert of Riverton, Wyo.; a sister, Mrs. A. F. Berg of Casagrande, Ariz. and a son, David B., with the United States Army, stationed in Greenland.

He was born at Utica, April 1, 1899.

Burial will be in the Alliance cemetery after services at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. W. W. Hanne will officiate at the services.

Mr. Purinton was an active Mason.
