Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Ray, of this city, have announced the marriage of their daughter, Ruth Irene Gore, of Birmingham, Ala., to Mr. William F. Maurer, Jr., of Atlanta, Ga., on April 4 at 2:30 o'clock at the Sacred Heart Church of Atlanta, Father McOscar officiating. After a short trip to Chattanooga, Tenn., to visit Mr. Harry Ray, who is at Camp Forest, they will be at home at 201 Capitol Ave., Atlanta, Ga.

Mrs. Charles Hazlett

Mrs. Irene Ray Hazlett, wife of Charles J. Hazlett, and daughter of the late Frank and Mary Alice Ray of this city, died Sunday at the Holmes hospital, Cincinnati.

She is survived by her husband; one brother, Herbert E. Ray, former chief of police in Richmond; three sisters, Mrs. Tennie Mathews, Mrs. Albert J. Smith of Washington, D. C., and Mrs. J. P. Ascher of New York City; one nephew, F. Ray Mathews of Boston, Mass., and one niece, Mrs. Vearl White of Richmond.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the Stegall-Berheide Funeral home in charge of Rev. Irvin Stegall. Burial will be in the Earlham cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home any time after noon Tuesday.
