Bride Wears White for Wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Reid to Make Home in Washington

AT AN EARLY morning service in Visitation Church on Saturday, Margaret Gallacher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Gallacher, of W. Chicago Blvd., became the bride of James C. Reid, Jr., son of James C. Reid, of Kentucky Ave., and the late Mrs. Reid.

The bride, escorted to tha latar by her father, wore a gown of sheer white chiffon with long bloused sleeves tied at the wrists. The very full skirt fell in graceful folds from the gathered waist and floated into a long train in back. Her full finger-tip veil was gathered ot flat-petalled flowers made of the veiling, and the flowers were surrounded by tiny sprigs of valley-lilies. She carried a white prayer-book topped by two deep purple orchids.

MRS. OWEN C. IRELAND, the matron of honor, wore chartreuse chiffon, fashioned like the bride's gown, and a matching horsehair halo-hat with grosgrain streamers. She carried a shower bouquet of peach-toned gladioli and pale blue stock tied with a huge bow of deep peach maline.

Glenna Reid, sister of the bridegroom, and Jean McKie, the bride's cousin, were bridesmaids, and were dressed alike in daffodil yellow chiffon. They wore shirred tiaras with face-veils, and carried bouquets of peach gladioli and purple delphinium.

The best man was Owen C. Ireland, and seating the guests were James Gallacher, brother of the bride, and Charles Reid, the bridegroom's brother.

AFTER THE CEREMONY there was a wedding breakfast at Devon Gables for 40 guests. Among those from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Allen, of New Jersey; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kradle, Suzanne Kradle, Elizabeth Hepler, and James Hepler, of Butler, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. William Walda, of Fort Wayne, Ind.

Shortly after the breakfast, the bride and bridegroom left for a honeymoon near Angola, Ind. For traveling, Mrs. Reid wore a brown and white print dress with aquamarine accessories, and purple orchids. The couple will live in Washington.
