He married BERTHA SELINA BEAUCHAMP on October 8, 1914 in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan.⁹⁷² She was born in 1892 in Michigan,^{972, 3605} and died December 8, 1940 in Ypsilanti, Washtenaw, Michigan.¹⁴⁸⁸ She is buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Oakland, Michigan.^{1488, 456}

James Reid, 77, Kern Co. Veteran

Requiem mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Michael Church, Ten Mile and Code, Southfield, for James C. Reid, 77, a retired Ernst Kern Co. supervisor.

Mr. Reid, of 21218 Mahon, Southfield, died Wednesday while visiting a son, James Jr., in Silver Spring, Md.

Mr. Reid retired 10 years ago as maintenance supervisor after 26 years with the Kern company.

Other survivors include two sons, William B. and Charles R.; a daughter, Mrs. Ben Kehoe, and 23 grandchildren.

Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Friday in the Vasu-Lynch Funeral Home, 4375 N. Woodward, Royal Oak. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
