Raymond May Reid, 63-year-old retired foreman for American Can Co., died in a San Jose convalescent hospital Thursday after an illness of five years.
A resident of 10371 Dale Dr., he had lived in San Jose for the past nine years. Reid had worked for American Can Co. in its San Jose, Sacramento and Stockton plants. He was employed by the firm for 33 years.
Reid was born in Angels Camp.
He was the husband of Mrs. Ida M. Reid; father of Raymond Richard Reid of Fiddletown, Mrs. Jacqueline Cole of Carmichael and Mrs. Gladys Derringer of San Jose; brother of Mrs. Bertha Reed, Robert W. Reid and Cecil Reid of San Jose, Daniel Reid of Oakland, Mrs. Isabel Baglin and Mrs. Carolyn Dawson of Denver, and the grandfather of nine.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from the Williams Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Oak Hill Memorial Park.
