MR. THOMAS SEWELL CHUMLEY

Mr. Thomas Sewell Chumley, age 58, of Clyde, Ohio, a former resident of Claiborne County, Tenn., passed away Wednesday morning, July 27, 1977.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wheeler, brother Park and sister Mary.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mildred Chumley, Clyde, Ohio; a son, Clifford, Clyde, Ohio; a daughter, Mickey, Clyde, Ohio; mother, Mrs. Ethel Chumley, Cumberland Gap, Tenn.; brothers, Frank Chumley, Cumberland Gap, Tenn.; William Luther Chumley, Speedwell, Tenn., Houston Chumley, Clyde, Ohio; Clifford Chumley, Bellview, Ohio; sisters, Mrs. Ollie Maye Martin, Monroe, Mich.; Mrs. Katherine Rose, Arthur, Tenn.; four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at the Underwood Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Lawrence Powell and the Rev. Yadon Howard officiating. Interment will be in the Hooper Cemetery.

The body will lie in state one hour before the services.

The family will receive frriends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at the Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell.

Coffey Funeral Home is in charge.

Frank Ashenfelter

CLYDE — Frank Ashenfelter, 74, 1391 Franks Ave., Clyde, died late Wednesday evening, Dec. 18, 1996, in St. Francis Skilled Nursing Center, Green Springs, after a brief illness.

He was born March 26, 1922, in St. Clair Mich. He was employed for many years by Chrysler Plastics, retiring in 1984.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in World War II.

He was a member of Bellevue Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Chumley) Ashenfelter; one stepdaughter, Mickey Greene, Fremont, Ohio; one stpeson, Clifford Chumley, Toledo; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold, Tecumseh, Mich., and Williams, Amherst, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor; his parents, Frank and Edith (Lybolt) Ashenfelter; one daughter, Sherry Ashenfelter, in 1993; one stepson, Kenneth Fox, in 1992; and three sisters, Alma Yocum, Rut Koch and Josephine Atwood.

Friends may call from3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where services will be 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Roger Rollins officiating.

Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Huron.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bellevue Missionary Baptist Church, Ohio 269, Bellevue.

Mildred H. Ashenfelter

GREEN SPRINGS: Mildred H. Ashenfelter, 88, formerly of Clyde died at Elmwood, Green Springs, on Monday, October 1, 2012.

Mrs. Ashenfelter was born in North Bend, Oregon on February 10, 1924 to the now deceased Otto and Lois (Sheed) Reis.

Survivors include a daughter, Mickey (William) Greene, Fremont; and five grandchildren, Wendy (Edward) Barger, Melissa (Jeff) Wadsworth, Christa Chumley, Carrie Maracle and Angie Chumley; nine great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren; along with her former daughter-in-law, Phyllis Limestahl, of Port Clinton also survive.

Mildred was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Chumley in 1976 and her second husband, Frank Ashenfelter in 2001; her son, Clifford Chumley is also deceased; her siblings, Irene Dancer and Harry Reis also preceded her.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 2-4:00 PM and 6-8:00 PM at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
