Harry Reis

Funeral services for Harry Joseph Reis, 55, a North Bend resident who died June 19 in Portland, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Coos Bay Chapel of Campbell-Watkins Funeral Homes. Private interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pastor Steven H. Brown of the Open Bible Church of Coos Bay will officiate.

Mr. Reis was born Feb. 19, 1921 in North Bend and was a resident of the area for his entire life.

He was a past governor of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 678 of Coos Bay and had served as a past commander of the Coos Bay Power Squadron. He was also a member of the Ham Radio Operators of American and was a World War II veteran with the Navy.

Survivors include his widow, Lorraine, Coos Bay; one son, James, Coos Bay; two sisters, Mildred Chumley, Clyde, Ohio; Irene Dancer, Clackamas; an aunt, Julia Clark, Coos Bay; a cousin, Ray Johnson, North Bend; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
