GEESEY, ANNABELLE (CLEM) March 21, 1920 to July 10, 2011 Annabelle was born and raised in Kansas City, where she was an honor student in high school. She moved to San Diego in 1940 when she married Jimmie Clem, and raised two boys, Ralph and Jim. During World War II, Annabelle was trained as a plane spotter and served in that capacity throughout the war. After the death of her first husband, she married Roy Geesey in 1966 and gained her stepdaughter, Bonnie Pietropaulo. Annabelle and Roy retired in 1980 and moved to Durango, Colorado, where they enjoyed life until 1989, when they relocated to Sedona, Arizona. After Roy's death in 1998, she moved to Alpine to be near her son Jim. She spent her later years enjoying the company of her large family, which includes Ralph (Candy), Jim (Eleanor), and Bonnie (Dan); six grandchildren Jim, Michele, Deborah, Chuck, Jamie and Vera; and nine great-grandchildren, Brandon, Annabelle, Charlie, Olivia, Sam, Sonia, Jacob, Lily, and Scott. Annabelle loved living in Alpine, and was active in her church (especially the Guild, where she will be remembered for her warm smile and her efforts on behalf of others). She always looked her best, and with a group of friends started a seniors exercise class that thrives to this day. Annabelle loved working in her garden, reading, and having lunch with her friends. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Alpine Community Church. Annabelle's memorial service will be held at the Alpine Community Church, 2225 W. Victoria Drive, Alpine, CA, on August 13th, at 11:00 a.m.
