WILLIAM H. SCOTT, son of JANE MCBRYANT and DANIEL SCOTT, was born September 6, 1827 in Tennessee,⁷⁰⁶ and died March 6, 1918 in Chillicothe, Livingston, Missouri.⁷⁰⁶ He is buried in Avalon Cemetery, Livingston County, Missouri.⁷⁰⁶

He married MARGARET TAYLOR on August 23, 1855 in Linn, Osage, Missouri.⁸⁴⁶³

Death of W. H. Scott.

William H. Scott, 91 years old, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Hargraves, west of the city Wednesday morning of old age and a complication of ailments. THe deceased was born in Tennessee and came to this county when 28 years old and had made his home in this community since. In his boyhood days he united with the Methodist Episcopal church and has lived a christian life. The body was taken to the Norman Funeral Home where it was prepared for burial and funeral will be held from there Thursday at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. J. N. Body conducting the services. Interment will be in the Avalon cemetery. Three children survive.
