Miss Esther Hunt was married to Ernest Shepard at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Cadwallader, 615 North Twenty-third street Wednesday eavenign, Rev. Mr. Boeye performing the ceremonty. Thirty-two guests were present. The bride is a niece of C. M. Cadwallader. Mr. and Mrs. Hunt [sic] will make their home at 2223 R street in this city.

Mrs. Monty Hardwick has returned from an eastern trip made to see her two sons receive their degrees from two famous institutions, the University of Wisconsin and the Case Institute of Technology.
Her younger son, Charles E. Shepard, received his bachelor of science degree in applied mathematics and mechanics from Wisconsin the first of the week and will remain in Madison to begin work on his master's degree and to teach at the university.
At Cleveland, O., Mrs. Hardwick attended commencement exercises at Case Institute Jan. 24 when her elder son, Emor O. Shepard, was presented with his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering.
He has accepted a position with Westinghouse in Pittsburgh in the department of power control and development. He and Mrs. Shepard, the former Jeanette Simmons of Council Bluffs, will leave this week for their new home in Pennsylvania.

Surviving are his wife, Esther May; daughter, Mrs. Anna Marguerite Reichenbach of Council Bluffs; two sons, Emor and Charles of Councuk Bluffs; sister, Mrs. Cecil McClung of Lincoln, and father M. E. Shepard of Lincoln. Funeral services at 1 p. m. Thursday at Hodgmans. Rev. E. L. Geissinger will officiate. Burial in Lincoln Memorial Park.

Monte L. Hardwick, 62, 1415 Avenue B, died Monday at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha, following a two-year illness.
Born at Red Oak, he was a Council Bluffs resident 30 years. Mr. Hardwick was a superintendent for the Iowa Power and Light Co. until 20 months ago when he took sick leave. He is a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include: widow, Esther M.; daughter, Mrs. Edward Lee of Oklahoma City, Okla.; mother, Mrs. Addie Buss Hardwick of Forestburg, S. D.; sister, Mrs. Henry Effling of Forestburg, S. D.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Meyer Chapel. Philip T. Durham, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. Interment will be at the Woodbine cemetery.
