Boettler, 630 Vassar avenue, University City, was ornamented with greenery and illuminated with tapers last night for the wedding of their niece, Miss Ruth Marie Goerlich, and Ralph S. Sherwin Jr. of Sheffield, Ala. The Rev. August C. Rasche officiated, in the presence of the two families and close friends. Additional guests arrived for the reception. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Felix E. Goerlich, 7365 Amherst place. Mr. Sherwin's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph S. Sherwin, formerly of University City, now make their home in Sheffield.

Louis W. Kraemer escorted his niece to the improvised altar of white larkspur, gladiolas and greenery. her ivory faille silk gown made on princess lines had a drop shoulder marquisette yoke edged with lace from her mother's wedding gown, long sleeves and a train. She wore a lace coronet to secure her fingertip and modesty veils and carried a cascade bouquet of white gladiolas and larkspur.

Wearing yellow lace and marquisette redingote gowns with short puffed sleeves over matching underdresses the bride's attendants preceded her to the altar. They were Miss Charlotte Sherwin, the bridegroom's sister, maid of honor; Miss Virginia Stanford and Mrs. Chester Schaum, bridesmaids. They carried yellow daisies and blue delphinium and wore coronets of the same flowers in their hair. Harry Shelton served as best man; Alfred Pauley and Kraemer Kleinschmidt, the bride's cousin, ushers.

The bride's mother was gowned in ice blue crepe and lace and wore a corsage of purple orchids; Mrs. Sherwin chose a dusty pink crepe gown and white flowers for her corsage.

After a honeymoon in the Great Smoky mountains Mr. Sherwin will take his bride to Sheffield to live.
