George L. Harrington
SCHROON LAKE — George L. Harrington, 68, died Feb. 28 at his home in Randolph after a long illness.
Mr. Harrington was born in Moriah Oct. 27, 1903, son of the late Lee and Mattie Palmer Harrington, and had lived in Randolph for the past 15 years.
He retired in 1969 as a conservation foreman with the New York State Conservation Department, with which he had been employed for 30 years.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Port Henry.
Surviving are his wife, Coyla Swan Harrington; a son, George R. Harrington of Moriah; a daughter, Mrs. Nelson (Alice) Hyatt of Crown Point; nine grandchildren, a brother, Forrest Harrington of Schroon Lake, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was conducted in Randolph and interment was in Randolph Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to Roswell Park Memorial Institute.
