Virginia Tanner

Virginia C. Tanner, 66, 600 Berkley St., Plymouth, died Monday evening at borne following a lengthy illness. She was born Jan. 13, 1918 in Plymouth. On Aug. 29, 1940 she married Robert D. Tanner, who survives. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Plymouth, a, past member of Tri Kappa, a charter member of the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Marshall County Humane Society and a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company.

Surviving with her husband is one daughter, Jeanne Adams of Plymouth; one son, William Tanner of Plymouth; one brother, William Ruggles of Plymouth; and five grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cliffe and Ruth (Thompson) Ruggles, and one son David.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 15 at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Plymouth. Johnson's Funeral Home in Plymouth is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.
