BRIEF ILLNESS IS FATAL TO VETERAN CLERK

Funeral Services for Miss Elizabeth Taylor Will Be Conducted Monday

Funeral services for Miss Elizabeth (Lizzie) Taylor, 82 years old, for many years in charge of the linen department at the George H. Knollenberg Department Store, who died Saturday morning at Reid Hospital after a week's illness, will be held at 3 P M., Monday, at Unser & Waltermann Funeral Home, where friends May call after 2 P. M., today. Rev. J. E: Jones, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial in Lutheran Cemetery.

Miss Taylor was perhaps one of the best known clerks in this section of the county through her long period of service with the dry goods establishment. She remained with the store for 35 years and her daily contacts gained for her a wide circle of friends and acquaintances not only in Richmond but among the customers from many outlying towns.

Miss Taylor was born Oct. 11, 1853, in Wayne township on the Boston Pike, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Taylor who were among the pioneer families of Wayne County.

She was one of the oldest members of the First Presbyterian Church where for many years she served as organist. She was also a charter member of the Virginia Asher Business Women's Bible Council.

Miss Taylor had not been employed at the local dry goods store during the past 15 years. She made her home at 1011 South A Street. Survivors are one brother, John H. Taylor, and a nephew, Charles W. Taylor, both of this city.
