Local Girl Wedded At Ellensburg, Wash.

Miss Evelyn Lois Erickson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Erickson of Eugene, was married June 5, to Edwin Alva Treadwell, at the Presbyterian Church in Ellensburg, Wash., the Rev. Fred H. Hall officiating. He is the son of Mrs. Mabel Treadwell of Ritzville, Wash.

The bride wore a moss green dressmaker suit with black accessories and a cimbidium orchid corsage. Mrs. Russell A. Dunlop and George Sogge of Ellensburg attended the couple.

A graduate of the University of Oregon, Mrs. Treadwell received her master's degree from Columbia University in 1945 and now is an instructor at Central Washington College of Education.

Mr. Treadwell is an associate professor at the same college. He is a graduate of Washington State College and also received his master's degree from the college.

Wife of CWC Teacher Dies in Car Crash

MOSES LAKE, Wash. (AP)—The wife of a Central Washington College faculty member was killed Wednesday afternoon in a one-car accident about 12 miles west of here.

Mrs. Evelyn L. Treadwell, 46, suffered fatal head injuries in the crash.

Her husband, Alva, 58, and the couple's three daughters, Carol Lee, 16, Barbara L., 14, and Terry K., nine, suffered minor bruises.

The State Patrol said Carol Lee was driving and lost control of the car as she attempted to pass a hay truck. The vehicle went into sand, came back on the highway and turned over, coming to rest on the median strip.

The family was en route from Ellensburg to Spokane to visit Treadwell's mother.
