Albert Winzenried and Miss Berta Sylvester were married at Eugene last Sunday and started on the afternoon train to Portland. THey will be at home to friends at Cloverdale Oct. 11. Congratulations of the Jasper people are extended to the bride and groom.

JASPER, Ore., Aug. 1.—Bert Erickson and Alberta Winzenried were married in Eugene, July 29. The bride is a highly accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Sylvester of this place, and is one of Lane county's most successful teachers. Last year the Enterprise school secured one of the spelling banners mainly through her efforts. The groom is one of Pleasant Hill's most highly respected citizens, who owns a well improved farm there, where they will make their home. A large crowd of friends serenaded them Thursday evening.

WINZENREID—On Tuesday evening, July 16, 1912, at his home at Cloverdale, from diabetes, Albert Winzenreid, about 45 years of age.

Deceased leaves a wife and four children. The funeral was held at Pleasant Hill yesterday at noon.

Alberta S. Erickson

Alberta S. Erickson, 68, of 1505 Lincoln St., died Monday at local hospital. She was born Nov. 1, 1879, in Polk County, Wis., and married Hilbert J. Erickson in Eugene July 29, 1914. A resident of Eugene for 63 years, she was a member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving are her widower; three children, Vernita Maxwell, Salem, Vern Winzenried, Seattle, and Evelyn Treadwill, Ellensburg, Wash.; a sister, May Hills, Springfield; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at Poole-Larsen Mortuary Wednesday at 2 p. m., with Dr. Vance Webster officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Erickson Rites Held — Final services for Mrs. Alberta S. Erickson, 68, of Eugene, mother of Mrs. Vernita Maxwell, Salem, were held in Eugene Wednesday afternoon with burial in Mt. Vernon cemetery. She had made her home in Eugene for 63 years. Besides her husband, Hilbert J. Erickson, whom she marred at Eugene in 1914, she is survived by two other children and a sister.
