Miss Ruth Mozelle Woodson, daughter of Mr. J. E. Woodson of Gatesville and Mrs. Hallie Woodson, 911 Drew Street, was married to L. Newman Van Tassel at the Post Chapel of the Roswell Advanced Flying School, Roswell, N. M. Sept. 27.
Members of the wedding party were Mrs. Jessica Junke of Port Arthur, sister of the bridegroom, matron of honor, and Lt. Lionel Chase of San Diego, Cal., best man.
The bride attended Texas Christian University. Lieutenant Van Tassel is the son of Mrs. Merle Van Tassel of Oshkosh, Wis. He attended the University of Wisconsin. The couple are living in Spokane, Wash., where he is stationed with the Army Air Forces.

Word has been received here of the sudden death in Ft. Worth, Tex., June 14 of Newman (Bud) Van Tassel, 47, formerly of La Crosse and a Central High School graduate. He left La Crosse in 1939 and was an engineer with General Dynamics.
He was a World War II veteran and a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force reserve.
Survivors include his widow; three daughters; his mother, Mrs. Merle Van Tassel of Milwaukee; and a sister.
