He married NORMA SWIFT on June 16, 1946 in Lebanon, Linn, Oregon.¹⁶⁸ She died November 18, 2002.¹⁶⁸

Robert 'Bob' E. Wells

Robert "Bob" E. Wells, 86, of Lebanon died Thursday at the Corvallis Manor.

Bob was born in Huntington Park, Calif., the son of John and Gladys (Houston) Wells. He moved to Oregon in 1928 and soon after settled in Lebanon. He attended Rock Hill School and then worked various farming and timber jobs until entering the Navy Sea Bees. He served during World War II and returned to Lebanon following his discharge.

Bob married Norma Swift on June 16, 1946, in Lebanon. She preceded him in death on Nov. 18, 2002.

Bob worked for the Champion Plywood Mill until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Bob enjoyed history, reading, drawing, his pets, fishing, boating, his cars and doing mechanical work, and he loved a good joke.

He is survived by his son, Terry Wells of Lebanon; daughters Peggy Tomlin of Lebanon, Pat Pearmine of Gervais, and Pam Kudlac of Grants Pass; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Francis and Jackie; and sisters Edwina Andreason and Vega Gatchell.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Huston-Jost Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery.
