Iva Mae Evans, a retired operations manager for the Equitable Trust Bank, died Sunday at a nursing home in Blue Springs, Mo., after a long illness.
Services for Mrs. Evans, who was 72 and lived for four years in Blue Springs, were being held today at the Newcomer funeral establishment there.
She had worked at Equitable for nearly 40 years before her retirement in 1983 as an operations manager.
A native of Edinburgh, Va., the former Iva Mae Wisman came to Baltimore as a young woman after her marriage to Edmund Earl Evans. Mr. Evans died in 1976.
Since moving to Missouri, she had been active in the Tri City Baptist Church in Kansas City.
She is survived by two daughters, Maida Van Pelt of Blue Springs and Dr. Diane Hoffman of Greensboro, N.C.; a son, Paul Evans of Shreveport, La.; a brother, Paul Wisman of Lynchburg, Va.; a sister, Louis Payne of Baltimore; and 10 grandchildren.
