Henry E. Wisman

EDINBURG — The funeral for Harry Earl Wisman, 93, of Edinburg will be held 2 p.m. today at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock.

The service will be conducted by the Rev. James Naff and the Rev. Fred E. Wiers. Burial will be in Cedarwood Cemetery at Edinburg.

Mr. Wisman died Saturday at his home.

He was born Jan. 1, 1888, at St. Luke and was a son of the late Joseph F. and Louella Maphis Wisman.

He was a member of Shenandoah Lodge 82 of the International Order of the Odd Fellows in Edinburg, the Edinburg Lions Club and St. Luke's Brethren Church. He was a director of Farmer's Bank of Edinburg.

After the death of his first wife, the former Mae Pence, he married Ethel Stephens Lindamood, who survives.

Also surviving is a son, Paul Pence Wisman of Lynchburg; two daugters, Louise Payne and Iva Mae Evans, both of Baltimore; a sister, Grace Painter of Edinburg; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that contributions be made to the Lions Club Eye Bank, to the Wookstock Resuce Squad or to any charity.
