NEWLYWEDS — Mary Jane Myers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Myers, Thomasville, York RD 1, and Albert Becker Myers, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Myers, Spring Grove RD, were married at 2 o'clock on the afternoon of Feb. 1 in Roth's Reformed church, Spring Grove RD 1.
Rev. John Royer, pastor of the church, officiated at the double ring ceremony. THe bride wore aqua; her flowers were white roses.
Mr. and Mrs. Myers are residing for the present at the home of the bride.

Albert Myers, Jr. 82, who lived 55 years at 8719 Maple Grove Road, Spring Grove, died peacefully at 11:33 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2005, at Providence Place Retirement Community in Dover. He and his wife had resided in Providence Place since May, 2005. Mr. Myers was the loving husband of Mary Jane (Myers) Myers, to whom she was married for more than 58 years.
A viewing for Mr. Myers will be held on Monday evening, December 26, 2005, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Irwin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27, at the funeral home with Elder Glenn N. Miller of Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren officiating. He will be laid to rest following the service in Trinity Roth's UCC Cemetery, Jackson Township.
Born February 2, 1923, in Jackson Township, he was a son of the late Albert, Sr. and Mabel Alice (Becker) Myers.
He was a lifelong farmer of agriculture and livestock in Paradise Township, and also owned and maintained several investment properties in Hanover.
In addition to his wife, Mary Jane, Albert leaves four daughters, Susan Myers of Millersville, Judy Myers-Moore of Landisville, Shirley Myers of Abbottstown, and Patricia Myers of York; a son, John Myers of Yorktown, Va.; four grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Stavely and Catherine Dickensheets, both of Spring Grove; and a brother, Sterling Myers of Menges Mills.

Mary J. (Myers) Myers, 82, died at 3:10 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at the Brethren Home Community in New Oxford. She was the beloved wife of Albert B. Myers, Jr., who passed away in 2005.
A funeral service in celebration and thanksgiving for her life will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home and Cremation Service, PC, 175 N. Main St. Spring Grove, with elder Glenn Miller of Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Trinity Roth U.C.C. Cemetery immediately following the service. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary was born on March 28, 1927, in York County, the daughter of John W. Myers and Lydian A. (Lillich) Myers. She graduated from East Berlin High School where she was a member of the girls' varsity basketball team. She attended Temple University in Philadelphia with a major in Physical Education.
After marriage, Mary and her husband bought a farm on Maple Grove RD in the Pigeon Hills where they spent the majority of their lives and raised five children. Mary enjoyed sewing, baking, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, John A. Myers and his wife Kyong Ok in Yorktown Va.; her daughters, Sudan Myers of Millersville, Judy Myers-Moore of Landisville, Shirley Myers of Abbottstown and Patricia Myers of Hellam; her grandchildren, Tonya Allen, John A. Myers Jr., Ian Moore, Austin Moore and her brother, Earl Myers. She was predeceased by her brothers, Clair Myers and George Myers.
