Walter Shaberly, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Shaberly, Thomasville, and Miss Arlene Myers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Myers, Jackson township who were united in marriage Tuesday night, December 23, by Rev. Geo. W. Enders, Jr., D. D. York, were served a wedding dinner Christmas day at the home of the bride's parents. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Shaberly, Mr. and Mrs. George Shaberly and son, Edgar, Preston and Wilbur, Thomasville; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Myers and children, Catherine, Dorothy, Raymond, Albert Jr., and Sterling, Jackson township, and Miss Lena Gotwalt, this place.

Walter Shaberly

SPRING GROVE — Walter Shaberly, 80, of Spring Grove RD 3, a lifetime farmer, died Monday afternoon, Feb. 14, 1983, at Hanover General Hospital. He was the husband of Arline (Myers) Shaberly.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St. Burial will be in Trinity (Roth's) United Church of Christ Cemetery, Jackson, Township. Viewing will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the memorial fund of Trinity (Roth's) United Church of Christ, Spring Grove RD 4.

Born in Paradise Township, son of the late George S. and Sarah (Gross) Shaberly, he was a lifetime farmer and had retired from the Glatfelter Pulp Wood Co. in 1967. He was a member of Trinity (Roth's) United Church of Christ and a life member of the Old Hotzschwamm-Paradise Union Church.

Mr. Shaberly also is survived by two brothers, Edgar E. Shaberly, 304 Abbottstown St., East Berlin, and Preston Shaberly of Laurelton.

SPRING GROVE — Arline (Myers) Shaberly, 86, of Spring Grove RD 3, died at 7:25 p.m. Monday at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover. She was the wife of Walter Shaberly, who died Feb. 14, 1983.

The service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Sauter-Irwin Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. Burial will be in Trinity (Roth's) Church Cemetery, Spring Grove RD 4. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Shaberly was born Dec. 21, 1909, in Jackson Township. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Mabel (Becker) Myers.

She was a member of Trinity (Roth's) United Church of Christ, Spring Grove RD 4.

Mrs. Shaberly is survived by three brothers, Raymond E. Myers of Spring Grove RD 6, Albert Myers Jr. of Spring Grove RD 4 and Sterling L. Myers of Spring Grove RD 3; two sisters, Catherine Dickensheets of Hanover and Dorothy Stavely of Spring Grove RD ? and nieces and nephews.

Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Mary E. Hutches.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity (Roth's) United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, Box 4322, Spring Grove RD 4 17362.
