James T. Brant, 61, switchman for the Frisco for the last 13 years, died last night at the home 118 South Oak street following a illness of sometime.
The railroad man is survived by the widow, a daughter Mrs. Sarah Gray of Iowa, a son Robert Brant of Attica, Kans., two sisters, Mrs. J. H. Bleaver of Missouri and Mrs. J. H. Bowditch of Michigan and a brother Robert H. Brant of Kansas City, Kan.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at the Lewis and Landrith chapel at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. J. P. Atkins officiating. Interment will be made in the South Heights cemetery.

Mrs. Mattie Fenna Miller, 86, of 4214 W. Central, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
She was born Jan. 29, 1872, in Edinburg, Ind. She was married to J. A. Miller on July 3, 1896, in Cedarville, Mo. Mrs. Miller was a Kansas resident for 60 years and came to Wichita in 1946 from Wakeeney. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors besides her husband include four daughters, Mrs. Sadie Bray, Oregon City, Ore., Mrs. Frances Allen, 1705 S. Dodge, Mrs. Ina Hanna, Oakley, Kan., and Mrs. Elizabeth Stuart, Littleton, Colo.; three sons, Alvah Miller, 2951 Palisade, Ira Miller 1549 S. Topeka, and Robert Brant, 527 Leonine Rd.; 19 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Broadway Mortuary with the Rev. Martin Ralstin, Gideon Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wichita Park Cemetery.

John Alvah Miller, 92, of 4214 W. Central, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Born April 18, 1867, in Iowa, he came to Wichita 14 years ago from Wakeeney, Kan. He had been retired for 25 years from the grain and cattle business. His wife, Nattie, died last March.
He was a member of United Brethren Church and Odd Fellows Lodge.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Stuart, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Frances Allen, 1703 S. Dodge, Mrs. Ina Hanna, Oakley, Kan., and Mrs. Sadie Bray, Oregon City, Ore.; two sons, Alvah, 2151 Palisade, and Ira, 1549 S. Topeka; a stepson, Bob Brant, 527 Leonine Rd.; 19 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Broadway Mortuary with the Rev. Joe Riley Burns, pastor of Trinity Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Wichita Park Cemetery.
