Twin baby girls weighing six pounds each, were born to Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ballou Wednesday morning. One of the babies died but the other, and the mother are doing well. Miss Ada Hagan is taking care of Mrs. Ballou

Ballou — Jessie, 72, Sun City West, Ariz., died 7/5/01 of complications from heart surgery. Born, Ashland (9/19/28), the fourth child of Martin and Mildred Ballou. Attended school in Wann; graduated, Ashland High School, 1945. Worked for a television station, 12 years, and Colorado College, five years. Business ventures included two printing companies, two restaurants, many years of interior decorating and finally a multilevel marketing program. Resident of Colorado Springs more than 40 years.

Survivors: sisters, Delores Olson, Mary Martin; brothers, sisters-in-law, Jim and Dalene Ballou, Gene and Wanda Ballou; sister-in-law, Betty Ballou Yates; longtime friend and business partner, Babette Smith; many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Preceded in death by parents; infant twin sister, Janet; brother, Marty Ballou (Ashland).

Memorials services were held July 11, Prince of Peace Chapel, Sun City West, and later in the day in Colorado Springs, Colo.
