INFLUENZA COMPLICATIONS ARE FATAL TO J. E. PARKS

Troy Resident Succumbs at Stouder Hospital—Burial To Be In Ft. Jefferson

J. Earl Parks, 38, residing at 1121 South Mulberry street, died at Stouder Memorial hospital Sunday afternoon of complications which developed following a week's illness due to influenza.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at the late residence on South Mulberry street with Rev. A. M. Dixon, pastor of the First Baptist church in charge.

Born in West Manchester, April 5, 1894, Mr. Parks spent his youth at that place. He was the son of the late Joseph Grant and Susanne Parks. He was married Oct. 6, 1917, to Miss Clara Barnes of Brookville, who survives.

The decedent spent the last 15 years in Troy and was employed for the last seven years by the Hobart Manufacturing company.

Besides his widow he leaves to sisters, Mrs. Charles Troutwine, of West Manchester, and Mrs. Joseph Ruff of Union City, Ind., his parents have preceded him in death.

Her first husband Earl Parks died in 1933 and her second husband Peter H. Kothman died 1970. 2 brothers and 4 sisters deceased. Surviving, step-daughter Mrs. Ronald (Denise) Reeder of Sidney, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Charter member of Grace Baptist Church, Troy. Funeral Tuesday 1:30 pm at Fisher-Cheney-Cron Funeral Home, 1124 W. Main St., Troy. Rev. Charles G. Pausley, officiating. Interment, Oak Grove Cemetery, Ft. Jefferson, Oh. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 pm Monday
