HARRY H. BEDIENT

LITTLE VALLEY — Harry H. Bedient, 1610 South Park Avenue, Buffalo, formerly of Little Valley, died at his home Sunday (Feb. 8, 1953) after a long illness.

Mr. Bedient was born October 3, 1879 in the town of Mansfield and lived in this vicinity, operating a meat and grocery store. He left Little Valley about 1904, moving to Buffalo where he worked as a contractor and carpenter until ill health forced him to retire 12 years ago.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Alta Gorsline Bedient; one son, Mason Bedient, two daughters, Mrs. Frank Breen Sr. and Mrs. George Schaeffer all of Buffalo, one brother, Orville Bedient, Angelica; one sister, Mrs. Carlie Ford, Little Valley; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bedient was an exempt member of the Little Valley Volunteer Fire Department.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday (Feb. 11, 1953) at 1 p.m. from the Kennedy Mortuary, 914 Abbott Road, Buffalo. Burial will be in the Little Valley Rural Cemetery with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. W. Uly of the Congregational Church, Buffalo, will officiate.

Mrs. Alta Gorsline Bedient

Word of the death in Ft. Myers, Fla., of Mrs. Alta Gorsline Bedient, 85, former Buffalonian, was received her Tuesday.

Mrs. Bedient died at her home in Palm Tree Blvd after a long illness. She moved to Florida in 1964. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Doris Schiffheur, Ft. Myers, and Mrs. Lucille Wanser, Buffalo, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
