Funeral services for Mrs. Mable Conklin Bedient were held yesterday at 2 p. m. at the family home, 50 Fern avenue. The Rev. Perry Haines of the First Methodist church officiated. Burial was in the family plot in Wildwood cemetery.
Bearers were Grant Walrath, Herman Brown, Lewis Ford, Edward Bryant, Daniel Duguid and E. L. Hall.

Orville R. Bedient of Angelica passed away in an Olean Hospital last Thursday morning, after a brief illness. He was proprietor of the West End Service Station here several years ago.
Mr. Bedient was born at Little Valley on December 15, 1889, the son of Serentus and Ida Hall Bedient.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Effie Bedient and one daughter, Mrs. Leslie Howard of Great Valley.
Services were held in the Wolcott Funeral Home, Angelica, Sunday afternoon. Interment in Little Valley Rural Cemetery.

GREAT VALLEY — Mrs. Effie J. Bedient, 87, of Humphrey Road, died Sunday (Aug. 24, 1980) in the Cattaraugus County Nursing Home, Olean.
Born April 16, 1893 she was a daughter of William and American Green Laing.
Mrs. Bedient was a licensed practical nurse, and had been employed at the Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville and at the Coudersport, Pa. Hospital.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Blanche Howard of Great Valley; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Eva Keech of Shinglehouse, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke Funeral Home Inc., 3 Jefferson St., Ellicottville, today and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where funeral services will be held Wednesday (Aug. 27, 1980) at 1 p.m. The Rev. Thomas B. Hamilton, pastor of the Great Valley United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Leslie Orville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Bedient, died yesterady at 5:20 p. m. at the family home on Elm street after an illness of four weeks. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be made at Little Valley. The funeral will be private.
