Saturday Rite at St. Peter's

Mildred Schlueter Weds Mr. Bischof

Miss Mildred K. Schlueter, Omaha, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Schlueter, North Bend, Neb. and George D. Bischof, Omaha, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bischof, Nebraska City, Neb., were married Saturday.

The Rev. J. J. O'Brien officiated at 9 a. m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church. William Bischof was his brother's best man; David. B. Barnett, Fremont, and Curtis Risk, Nebraska City, ushered.

The bride was gowned in duchess satin and rose point lace. Her fingertip veil of white illusion fell from a seed pearl tiara.

Miss Mary Lou Bohm, bridesmaid, wore a gown of heavenly blue nylon net and iridescent taffeta and a halo of matching net trimmed with pearls. She carried pink carnations.

After a reception at Turner Hall, the couple left for a trip to New Orleans, La., will live in Omaha.

BISCHOF—Mildred Kathryn (Schlueter). Passed away in Macomb, IL on November 25, 2008. Mildred was born January 22, 1929 in North Bend, NE to Anton and Anna Schlueter. She was the youngest of 4 sisters and spent her childhood on a farm between North Bend and Clyde, NE. She married George Bischof on September 13, 1952 and raised her family in Omaha, NE. She enjoyed her life as a homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love for her husband, family, and friends will be remembered by us all. Mildred is survived by her husband, George (residing in Macomb, IL); 4 children, Diane Sutton (Tim), Ft. Collins, CO, Steve Bischof, Pine Bluff, AR, Cindy Williamson (Dennis), Littleton, CO, Marlene Wiese (Rich), Hobbs, NM; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, great cooking, warm hospitality, wonderful laugh, and the way she showed her love to all.

Wake Service Sunday 4 pm at the Mortuary. Funeral Monday 11am at the Mortuary to St. Thomas More Church at 11:30am. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Visitation starts Sunday 2pm at Mortuary.

86 years old; passed away in Fort Collins, Colorado. Born in Nebraska City, Nebraska, to George and Katherine Bischof. He worked most of his life as an elevator/escalator mechanic and was a passionate pilot, having owned 13 different airplanes and accumulating over 5,000 flying hours. He served in the U.S. Navy, 1946-1947. Preceded in death by wife, Mildred, in 2008. Survived by 4 children: Diane Sutton (Tim) of Fort Collins, Colorado, Dr. Steven Bischof (Cheryl) of Savannah, Georgia, Cindy Williamson (Dennis) of Littleton, Illinois, and Marlene Wiese of Omaha; 4 siblings: Margaret Bischof, Virginia Chaloupka, Lucille Gardner, and Jim Bischof; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 26th, beginning at 9:30am, with MEMORIAL SERVICE at 10:30am at the West Center Chapel. Interment at Calvary Cemetery with military rites by Millard American Legion Post 374 and VFW Post 8334. Memorials to Nebraska City High School Alumni Association.
