Miss Katherine L. Ritts was married to George H. Bischof yesterday afternoon, at Golconda, by Father Meehan. For some time past the bride had been operator for the Golconda Telephone & Power company, while the groom is an employe of the Kramer Hill company. Father Meehan went over to Golconda on Southern Pacific No. 6, returning on No. 3.

Store Owner Bischof Dies

Nebraska City, Neb. — Services for George H. Bischof, 88, of Nebraska City will be at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church here.

Bischof, who died Wednesday, recently suffered a stroke, a family member said.

He was the owner and operator of Bischof's Hardware in Nebraska City, an independent hardware store which had been at the same location since his father founded the firm in 1867.

He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1911 as a civil engineer.

He was a past president of the Nebraska Retail Hardware Association and past state president of the American Dads, an organization of fathers whose sons fought in World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine; sons, William and George, Omaha, and James, San Jose, Calif.; daughters, Margaret, Cheyenne, Wyo.; Virginia Calupka, Greeley, Colo., and Lucille Gardner, Auburn, Wash.; a nephew, John Marks, Greeley, Colo., 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
