Donald S. Blair Resigns To Go To Calif. Job

Donald S. Blair, assistant superintendent in charge of instruction for the Greeley public schools, has resigned to accept a similar position with the Placer county schools in California.

The Greeley board of education release Blair from his contract at a special board meeting held Friday afternoon. Blair will take over his new duties July 15.

Blair has served as assistant superintendent in Greeley for two years. He came to Greeley from Seattle, Wash., where he had been both an elementary and junior high school principal.

While here Blair had worked in the fields of curriculum and instruction with principals and teachers. He had also participated in the selection of personnel, supervised the audio-visual aids program for the schools and assisted in the supervision of the special education department.

Blair has his B. A. degree from the University of Washington and his M. A. from Stanford University. He is presently working on his Ph. D. at Stanford. Superintendent Leslie K. Grimes, who announced Blair's resignation, stated that she believed one of Blair's reasons for going to California was to be closer to Stanford.

During the summers Blair has taught at several college summer sessions, including Colorado State College, the University of Puget Sound and in Canada.
