T. C. Bolton Is Dead at 77

Thomas C. Bolton Sr., 77, 3852 Jones St., superintendent of Davidson Bros. Store for 29 years, died Wednesday evening at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

He was born Jan. 22, 1892, at Sioux City and was a 1910 graduate of Central High School. In 1914 he was graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology at Chicago. He married Helen Davidson Nov. 18, 1917, at New York City and served with the Army in World War I.

Mr. Bolton worked as an engineer for the late Keyes Gaynor, a Sioux City engineer, before joining Davidson Bros. in 1920. He retired in 1949. He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Sioux City Consistory, Tyrian Lodge 508, AF & AM, and Lions Club, and was a 32nd degree Mason and a charter member of this Sioux City Country Club.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Dr. Thomas C. Bolton Jr. of Medford, Ore.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Castallo of New York City; and six grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the mausoleum at Logan Park Cemetery. The Rev. Joseph Gregori of St. Thomas Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be under the direction of the Rutledge Funeral Home.

A memorial has been established in Mr. Bolton's name at the church.
