Barbara Jean McGuire

Barbara Jean McGuire, 83, passed away November 22, 2010. She was born to Archie & Elsie Boyce in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 21, 1927 and was raised in Fountain and Canon City, Colorado. She married Samuel B. McGuire Sr. June 4, 1946.

She is survived by her husband, brother Dale M. Boyce, sons Samuel B. McGuire Jr. (Roberta) and Michael D. McGuire, daughter Karri P. Siebert (Jeffrey), 13 grandchildren and 9 great- grandchildren. Proceeded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and a great grandson.

Her generosity, keen wit, and dedication to family will be greatly missed.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am December 18, 2010 at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. Hwy 85/87 Fountain CO.

Samuel Boyd McGuire, Sr., 87, passed away May 11, 2013. He was born to Harry and Mamie McGuire at Fountain, Colorado on November 12, 1925, and lived in Fountain for over 40 years. Sam married Barbara Boyce June 4, 1946. He is survived by his sons, Sam Jr. (Robbie) and Mike; daughter, Karri Siebert (Jeff); 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife; parents; 7 siblings; a nephew; and a great grandson. Sam was a veteran of World War II having served in the Coast Guard in the Pacific theater. He was a successful businessman who started several companies and patented tools for the tool and die industry. Sam had many hobbies, and enjoyed singing, photography, woodworking, family gatherings, grandchildren's activities, and driving fast cars. He loved people and never met a stranger. His kindness, generosity, and keen wit will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Pikes Peak Hospice. Memorial service at 11:00, June 22, 2013 at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. Hwy 85/87, Fountain, CO.
