Alice Elizabeth Brackett and William H. Dewing

ALICE ELIZABETH BRACKETT, daughter of ANN HOUSTON and COL. GUSTAVUS BENTON BRACKETT, was born November 28, 1853 in Iowa,⁶¹⁷⁵ and died January 13, 1927 in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw, Michigan.⁶¹⁷⁵ She is buried in Denmark Cemetery, Lee County, Iowa.⁴⁵⁶

She married WILLIAM H. DEWING on April 29, 1897 in Cook County, Illinois.¹⁶⁴⁴ He was born January 5, 1863 in Wisconsin.

Dr. W. H. Dewing arrived at Fennimoe Tuesday morning from Chicago, having recently left Washington, D. C., where diplomacy has received much of his attention for two years. He considers Washington a centre for law and jurisprudence as Chicago is for medicine and therapy. Mrs. Dewing remained at Geneva Lake where she and her sister, Mrs. C. R. Joy of Keokuk, Iowa, will be in camp during the season.
