Bradley, Robert Lester 12/05/1922 ~ 10/09/2014 Master Gunnery Sergeant USMC (RET) A TRUE AMERICAN HERO SAN DIEGO — Brad passed away peacefully on October 9, 2014 at the La Jolla Nursing and Rehabilitation Center under the watchful eyes of his caregivers, Joanne Liu and Nolan Dunisch, and Light Bridge Hospice. Brad served 26 years with the U.S. Marine Corps and 17 years with the Civic Service. Brad was born in Tallevast, Florida to James Bradley and Mollie Hawkins in 1922. During World War II, Brad participated in the Guadalcanal, New Britain and Peleliu campaigns. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Bruce, and his four brothers, Clyde, Gilbert, Charlie, and Lloyd. Brad is survived by several nephews and nieces. Brad's ashes will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean on Veteran's Day, at the same location where Bruce's ashes were scattered.4717
