At the appointed hour Miss Reva Larson, niece of the groom, sang "I Love You Truly," followed by a song "Little Sunshine" by Eva Luella Fisher and Doris Houston, sister and cousin of the bride, accompanied by another cousin, Charlene Houston. The bridal party entered to the strains of Lohengrin's "Wedding March," played by Charlene Houston, cousin of the bride. The minister, groom and best man, Vernon Fisher, brother of the bride, were all dressed in dark blue, and entered from a side door after which bride and her attendants entered from another room. First came Reva Larson strewing rose petals in the bride's path from a basket tied with a bow of orchid and gold, this being the color scheme throughout the house. The bridesmaid, Miss Bertha Lindberg, attired in a dress of old rose, entering next carrying an arm basket of orchid and gold sweet peas with smilax. The bride, gowned in a powder blue with sea-sand slipper, and carrying a shower bouquet of tulle, orchid, gold and white sweet peas with ferns, then entered, escorted by her father, met the groom beneath the wedding bell in front of a bank of flowers consisting of sultanas, begonias, foliages, sweet peas and smilax. The single ring ceremony was used in the presence of forty-five relatives and friends. The centerpiece on the dining table was a large, beautiful angle food cake decorated in orchid and gold and baked by Mrs. Francis Youngmark. After congratulations a two course buffet dinner was served. The waitresses were Miss Wylma Higgins, Margaret Williams and Charlene Houston, assisted by Donald Fisher, with aprons and caps of orchid and gold, after which the wedding cake was cut by the bride and served to all. After dinner the bride and groom opened all their presents which were beautiful and useful. then after treating to cigars and candy, the newly weds took a ride in an old Ford decorated for the occasion and were gone for the day.
