Purintun-Bubb

MONTICELLO — Miss Helen Purintun, daughter of Mrs. C. G. Purintun, Monticello, and Elton Bubb, Plymouth, were united in marriage at Plymouth on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Samuel Bullogh, pastor of the Congregational church, performed the ceremony.

Attending the couple were Miss Ruth Purintun, sister of the bride, and Selby Bubb, Plymouth.

The bride wore a gray and rose brocaded silk dress with navy blue accessories. Her bouquet was of red roses and carnations. Her attendant wore a black and white faille dress and a corsage of pink roses and carnations.

The bride has taught second grade in the schools at Plymouth for the past two years. Following a wedding trip to Michigan and Minnesota, Mr. and Mrs. Bubb will be at home in Plymouth, where the bridegroom is employed.

MRS. ELTON BUBB

Mrs. Elton Bubb, 55, of 307 Forest Ave., Plymouth, died at Plymouth Hospital at 6:45 a.m. today following a six month illness.

The former Helen Purintun, she was born Aug. 12, 1910, in Mt. Pleasant Township, Green County, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Purintun.

She attended the Babier Grade School and graduated from Monticello High School in 1927. She was graduated from the Platteville State Teachers College with a B.S. degree in education.

Her teaching duties included elementary schools in Green County and the second grade at Broadhead Grade School.

She came to Plymouth in 1950 and taught the second grade at Parkview School until she became ill in December, 1965.

On Aug. 22, 1953, she was married to Elton Bubb in Plymouth.

Mrs. Bubb was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Plymouth, and a member of the Wisconsin Education Association.

Survivors are her husband; two step-daughters, Mrs. Norbert (Hazel) Schram of Plymouth and Mrs. Ernst (Emily) Wuestenhagen of Sheboygan Falls; one step-son, Selby Bubb of Plymouth; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; her mother, Mrs. Katie Purintun of Monticello; two brothers, David of Janesville and Paul of Everly, Iowa; and two sisters, Miss Ruth Purintun and Miss Florence Purintun, both of Monticello. Her father and one brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth, the Rev. Herbert Balcom, pastor of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.

ELTON S. BUBB

Elton S. Bubb, 79, of 307 Forest Avenue, Plymouth, died at Plymouth Hospital early this morning following a two-week illness.

Born June 14, 1889 at Plymouth, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bubb, he attended Plymouth schools and was married to the former Olina Henning on Nov. 25, 1915 in Sheboygan. She died in 1946.

On Aug. 23, 1953, he married the former Helen Purintun in Plymouth. She died in 1966.

Mr. Bubb was employed as a custodian at the Plymouth Grade School for over 20 years before retiring in 1959. He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Plymouth.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Norbert (Hazel) Schram of Plymouth and Mrs. Ernst (Emily) Wuestenhagen of Sheboygan Falls; a son, Selby Bubb of Plymouth; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leon of Oconto Falls.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Wittkopp Funeral Home at Plymouth, the Rev. Herbert Balcom, pastor of the First Congregational United Church of Christ of Plymouth, officiating. Burial will be in Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Wittkopp Funeral Home from 2 p.m. Tuesday until time of services.
