Purintun Services

ALBANY—Funeral services for Charles G. Purinton, 74, lifelong Mt. Pleasant township resident, will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday in the Sharer funeral home, Albany. The Rev. W. J. Abie of the Monticello Evangelical United Brethren church will officiate. Burial will be in the Gap cemetery.

Mr. Purintun died Thursday after a long illness at the farm home where he was born.

He was married in 1902 at Freeport to Kathryn Sylvester of Sylvester township. He was chairman of the town board for five years, and supervisor and a member of the school board for many years.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Paul, Hartley, Ia., and David, Whitewater; three daughters, Ruth, Helen, and Florence, at home, and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. Charles Purintun

MONTICELLO — Mrs. Charles Purintun, 95, lifelong area resident, died yesterday in her home here after a brief illness.

Katie Sylvester was born in Sylvester Township, Green County, March 8, 1874, and was married to Charles Purintun Feb. 19, 1902, at Freeport, Ill. She was a member of the old Gapp Baptist Church.

Mr. Purintun died in 1947.

Surviving are two daughters, Ruth and Florence, at home; two sons, David, of Janesville, and Paul, Cedar Falls, Iowa; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Sharer Funeral Home, Albany, with burial in Gapp Cemetery. Friends may call today from 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
